Helen started this substack, also called The Salt Stones, in 2024. She had so many stories that would not find a place in the book but felt worthy to share. If you share a longing to re-examine our relationship to nature, to the cycles of life and death, and to time, they will almost certainly resonate with you.
Helen writes: “So much happens while you write a book, so here are adjacent stories — wide-ranging, personal, always in some way about how we connect to ourselves, each other, and wherever we may find ourselves on this beloved planet home. Thank you for coming this far with me.”
